Our science programmes emphasise the extensive coverage of fundamental concepts in the natural and physical world, enabling students to view the pursuit of science as meaningful and useful. Due to the nature of how different schools structure their curriculum differently, it is imperative that a one-size-fits-all approach to group teaching is obsolete. At KRTC, under the charge of Mr Tan Ser Khiang, students receive customised study material that coincides with their school’s curriculum, on top of subject-specific coaching from the tutor himself.
A variety of approaches in teaching and incorporating ideas and materials from various sources in order to enhance the learning of science are utilised. Students engage in discussions and practices to develop confidence and enhance critical thinking skills in making inferences and solving questions, including recognising common mistakes. With this, students learn to apply scientific concepts to real world situations, thus nurturing a more profound understanding of the subject and enhancing intellectual engagement.
