Gregory started tutoring during his polytechnic days, teaching Mathematics and Physics at secondary level. Upon graduating from Leeds University with an honors degree in Computing, and as a keen learner himself, Gregory went on to pursue his MSc in Information Studies with Nanyang Technological University.
After 13 years of the corporate life, Gregory resumed his passion of imparting knowledge to the younger generation. To this day, his greatest satisfaction and sense of achievement comes from seeing his students acing their subjects with ease because of their thorough understanding of the subject; in no small part assisted by him.
His many years of tutoring has developed in him the habit of observing how individual students learn and the way they grasp concepts. Equipped with this knowledge, he is able to decide on the most suitable teaching methods as well as customize his teaching and learning activities so that the student is able to comprehend content quickly and apply the concepts learnt. Thus, he is able to bring the student to a higher level.
Gregory always ensures that his lessons are never dull and as having fun is an important element in learning. He firmly believes that the pursuit of education should be a fun and enjoyable journey, never a chore.
Gregory’s style of teaching ascertains that the students understand and fully grasp the fundamentals before they are exposed to challenging questions.
He always encourages students to consider different approaches, from various angles, when solving a problem. This helps the students in sharpening their analytical skills and thought process which, in turn, will help develop essential life skills for their future pursuits.
